Terms of Service
Hopper is an AI teammate for software teams: it joins your Slack, GitHub, Linear and calls, and does the follow-up work. These terms say what it is, what it isn't, and what we can expect of each other.
In effect since 25 October 2026 · version 2026-10-25
01Who operates Hopper
Hopper is operated by Kocsmarszky Zsolt, an individual established in Hungary.

02Who these terms are with
Hopper is a service for businesses. When you create a company on Hopper you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm that you are allowed to. In these terms "you" means that company and the people it invites. Everyone who signs in also agrees to use Hopper within these terms.
03What the service is
Hopper joins the tools your company connects (Slack, GitHub, Linear and Google Meet), reads what it is given access to, and keeps a memory of what it learns. It answers questions and points to its sources, files issues, writes code in a sandbox and opens pull requests for review, joins calls and speaks when it is addressed, and writes recaps.
How far it goes on its own is set by the autonomy level you choose:
- Careful: it reads and answers, and asks first before drafting anything, such as a pull request, a document or an issue.
- Balanced: it drafts on its own, and asks first before changing work someone else owns.
- Bold: it also changes work others own without asking.
At every level it asks first before doing anything outside your company, and it never merges or deploys.
04AI output can be wrong
This is the most important clause here, so it is not buried at the bottom.
Everything Hopper produces (answers, summaries, recaps, issues, messages and code) is generated by AI models. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can sound sure when it isn't. It can misread a conversation, attribute something to the wrong person, or miss what was said.
Check what matters before you rely on it. Review and test code before you merge it: Hopper opens pull requests for review and never merges them itself. You are responsible for what you approve, merge, ship or send, and for what you decide on the strength of Hopper's work.
Do not use Hopper as the only basis for decisions with legal, medical, financial or safety consequences.
05Connecting your tools
You choose what Hopper can reach. Connect only the workspaces, repositories and calendars you are authorised to connect, and only in ways your agreements with Slack, GitHub, Linear and Google allow. Tell your team that Hopper is there and what it reads. You can disconnect a tool at any time, from the tool itself.
Those services are run by others. If they change or limit what Hopper can do with them, a feature may stop working.
06Calls
Hopper joins a call only when it is invited or sent a link. It introduces itself when it joins and uses the meeting's live captions as its transcript.
Your company is responsible for telling everyone in the call that Hopper is there and transcribing, and for getting any consent the law where they are requires. Do not bring Hopper into a call where that isn't possible.
07Your content
Your messages, calls, code, issues and everything else Hopper reads stay yours. We claim no ownership of them, or of what Hopper produces for you.
You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit your content, including sending it to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy, only to provide Hopper to you. We do not use your content to train AI models, sell it, or use it for advertising. The Privacy Policy says what is kept and for how long.
08Your account
Keep your sign-in secure: anyone who can read your email can reset your password. You are responsible for what happens under your company's accounts. Its owners and admins decide who is invited and what Hopper connects. Tell us if you think someone else is using an account.
09Acceptable use
Do not use Hopper to:
- break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or process data you have no right to give it
- harass, spam or mislead people, including by passing off Hopper's words as a person's
- write malware, attack systems, mine cryptocurrency, or use its coding sandboxes for anything but the task they were started for
- get around the autonomy level, the limits on what it can reach, or any other safeguard
- break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service or its sandboxes
- resell Hopper or provide it to others as a service
10Plans and payment
Hopper costs $50 a month per company, for one teammate for the whole workspace, billed monthly in advance. Payments go through Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record: Paddle sells you the subscription, adds any taxes that apply, and its checkout terms govern the payment.
You can cancel at any time. Hopper keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again. If Hopper doesn't work out for you within 14 days of your first payment, write to us and we will refund that first month. Otherwise payments are not refunded for part of a month, except where the law requires it.
Each plan includes a daily allowance of AI use. As a day's use approaches it, Hopper puts off background work such as tidying its memory, then stops starting work nobody asked for. Past it, Hopper keeps answering the people who ask, on smaller and faster models, until the next day (UTC). Calls are never cut short.
We will email you at least 30 days before a price changes, and the new price applies from your next billing period.
11Availability and changes
We work to keep Hopper running, but there is no uptime commitment. It may be down for maintenance, or because a service it depends on is. Features may change; we will tell you before removing something your plan includes.
We may suspend Hopper for a company that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why where we can.
12Ending
You can stop at any time by cancelling your plan. We can end the service for your company with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. When it ends, Hopper stops working and your company's data is deleted within 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes. Ask before then if you want a copy.
13No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that anything Hopper produces is correct, complete, secure or fit to ship, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the operator nor anyone acting for them is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of or connected with your use of the service, whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised such loss was possible.
This expressly includes any loss arising from code, issues, messages, recaps or anything else Hopper produced that you or your team merged, shipped, sent or relied on.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and (b) EUR 100.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the applicable law.
15Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless against any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from content you connected or gave Hopper without the right to, a call it joined without the notice or consent the law required, your use of what it produced, or your breach of these terms.
16Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Hungary have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you use the service as a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your own country that cannot be set aside by agreement.
17Changes to these terms
These terms were last changed on 25 October 2026 (version 2026-10-25). If they change substantively we will say so on this page and email the owners of companies on Hopper at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Hopper after that means you accept the new terms.
